In conjunction with our supply partners, SoccerTurf, we have developed a full range of 3rd Generation pitches - football surfaces using Fibrillated, Monofilament and Hybrid Yarns, enabling Thornton Sports to provide a UK manufactured product of unequalled quality and durability.

All of our 3G football surfaces have been rigorously tested and are certified to comply with the requirements of the Football Association.

Long term relationships with world leading Grass Yarn Manufacturers have allowed us to develop products that are exclusive to Thornton Sports in the UK, and offer surfaces that are comparable to those required at the very highest level of competition.

Extremely Flexible 3rd generation pitches for Football

Our 3rd Generation pitches (3G) have been installed within a variety of environments, and have proven particularly ideal for both 5-a-side and 7-a-side pitches, as well as MUGAs and full-size synthetic turf pitches (STPs) & training surfaces.

Floodlighting designs offerred incorporate the latest flat glass light systems, which ensure optimum pitch/court lighting, with minimal spillage and with raise and lower column system. These minimise long term maintenance and reduce health and safety exposure by eradicating the need to climb columns.

Supporting our local community

Thornton Sports have recently donated sports equipment and £100 to Padiham Saints to help them raise funds for football strips for their various teams. We also Sponsored Burnley FC v Birmingham at Turf Moor In October 2008.
