Multi Use Games Areas

Thornton Contracts Ltd have more than 30 years experience in the design, build, installation, maintenance and renovation of Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGA's). Here at Thornton Contractswe specialise in synthetic surfaces for MUGA’s, for sports such as Tennis, Netball, 5-a-side, Hockey or general training.

Our extensive range covers a variety of surfaces which can be used for MUGA's; synthetic grass (sand filled or non sand filled), Bitumen Macadam and Polymeric.

All of our surfaces are designed to suit every level of ability and meet all budgets.

Our synthetic grass is a British product and has been manufactured in-house at our headquarters based at Altham in Lancashire since 1981, using Polypropylene yarn. Our synthetic grass is manufactured to BS EN ISO 9002:1994 (formerly BS 5750) and all are with approved accreditation.

There are also various options for the surround fence and floodlighting ranging from recreational play through to championship standard. In-situ shock pads are also available.
