School children learn about sports pitch construction

Pupils from Alder Grange Community & Technology School recently visited Nordon’s synthetic grass manufacturing unit in Lancashire.

The school are currently having a multi use sports pitch constructed, with our SoccerTurf 40M surface. The pupils were interested to find out how their pitch is being constructed, discover the different types of surface available and see the machinery and equipment that will manufacture the synthetic grass for their own new sports pitch.

Following the visit David Hampson, Head of School for Alder Grange, commented “I would like to express my sincere thanks for the company’s kind cooperation in hosting the visit by our GCSE PE group on Tuesday.  The feedback we received was very positive, with the pupils being very complimentary about your organisation and the quality of the information they received”.
