Thornton Sports offer Free CPD Seminars

On Monday 28th May 2012, Thornton Sports will launch their FREE CPD seminars. Not only that, but they’re also throwing in lunch, on-the-house!

CPD or Continued Professional Development gives a structured approach to learning, and allows knowledge, skills and practical experience to be developed.

Thornton Sports now offer a choice of two CPD seminars, SudsSports – an integrated approach to sustainable drainage, and Sports Surfacing - the design and installation of sports surfaces.

The SudsSports CPD gives an insight into the features and benefits of Thornton Sports’ combined sustainable drainage and sports surfacing system; it highlights the design and construction issues associated with the attenuation of surface water within sports pitches, and these issues are explored in detail via recent case study projects. Equestrian applications are also discussed.

The SudsSports CPD is run in conjunction with partners Permavoid Ltd. Phil Tomlinson, Sales Manager for Permavoid speaks of the CPDs, “Thornton Sports have over 30 years experience in the design and construction of sports surfaces. The CPD seminars are a great way for architects and consultants to broaden their knowledge in this field and learn from a well established organisation.”

The Design and Installation of Sports Surfaces CPD seminar covers initial design considerations, location and site conditions, budget costings and maintenance – it’s everything you’ll need to know about installing sports surfaces.

The one hour seminars can be held at your office, with lunch provided! To book a CPD, please visit today.
