Synthetic Tennis Courts

Thornton Contracts Ltd have over 30 years experience in the design, build, installation, maintenance and renovation of Tennis Courts. We cover a varied customer network including Clubs, Private Clients, Schools and Hotels. Here at Thornton Contracts we specialise in synthetic grass surfaces for Tennis Courts, both sand filled and sand dressed. These range from 9mm to 18mm pile height.

Our extensive range also covers the construction of porous acrylic painted macadam courts and some non-porous acrylic courts as shown on the flysheet of the 6 courts installed at Harrow School. This type of tennis court surface is ideal for high level play and coaching.

All of our surfaces are designed to suit every level of ability and meet all budgets.

Our synthetic grass is a British product and has been manufactured in-house at our headquarters based at Altham in Lancashire since 1981, using Polypropylene yarn.

Our synthetic grass is manufactured to BS EN ISO 9002:1994 (formerly BS 5750) and all are with approved LTA accreditation.

There are also various options for the surround fence and floodlighting to the appropriate LUX levels. Tennis equipment is also available from our extensive catalogue.

A recent installation completed at Liverpool Cricket Club was opened by Pat Cash.
